PLC Programmer

Location: Roseville, CA (Onsite)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Controls Programmer to join a well-established control systems integration company specializing in material handling solutions. This is a fully onsite position requiring up to 30% travel for site commissioning, startup support, and customer service across the U.S. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can quickly contribute, work independently, and perform with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and program new PLC systems per customer specifications
• Design and program HMI and SCADA systems
• Provide onsite commissioning and startup support
• Diagnose and modify existing programs to meet customer needs
• Train end users on system functionality
• Document and maintain programs and system manuals
• Collaborate with onsite electricians on controls components

Must-Have Skills

• 3+ years of material handling PLC programming using Rockwell Studio 5000
• RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000
• FactoryTalk View ME & SE (HMI/SCADA)
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Rockwell Software Manufacturing Suite, including but not limited to RSLogix 500, RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View ME & SE
• Strong knowledge of conveyor and material handling systems
• Windows, Word, Excel, Serial Communication

Good to Have

• PC-based programming languages
• Windows Server & virtual systems

Requirements

• Valid government-issued ID
• Flexible with weekend and extended shift hours
• Willing to travel up to 30%—including extended out-of-town assignments
• Able to lift 40 lbs and wear required PPE on job sites

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred)
