Position summary

The control room operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling the production process in our food processing lines. This role ensures smooth, efficient, and safe operations by utilizing advanced control systems and troubleshooting issues.

Essential functions

• Observe control panels, screens, and related equipment continuously
• Complete CIP, COP, and Sanitizing of production lines and fillers
• Operate and adjust controls on equipment to regulate production parameters
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve operational issues quickly
• Record operational data accurately
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures
• Collaborate with quality team members
• Assist engineering team members with inspections and maintenance
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating control rooms in a processing environment involving PLCs or similar systems
• 1-2 years of experience operating processing and/or packaging equipment in a food plant under GMP conditions (optional)
• Proficiency in using, troubleshooting, adjusting, and setting control systems like SCADA, PLC, and relevant software
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• High attention to detail
• Common sense understanding of equipment manuals and electrical diagrams (optional)
