Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC-controlled machinery and automation systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, and control system failures.
- Modify PLC programs to improve equipment performance and resolve operational issues.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on PLC related equipment in conjunction with Maintenance.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, HMIs, VFDs, servos, and industrial networks.
- Calibrate instrumentation and control devices as needed.
- Support equipment startups, commissioning, and system upgrades.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, repair logs, and documentation.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities.
Required Qualifications
- Achieve an Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Have 2+ years of experience troubleshooting industrial automation systems.
- Have experience with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley (Rockwell), Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Schneider Electric.
- Have strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems (24VDC to 480VAC).
- Have experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, sensors, and industrial communications.
- Be able to read electrical prints and troubleshoot control circuits.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Have experience with SCADA systems.
- Have knowledge of robotics and automated manufacturing equipment.
- Have familiarity with Ethernet/IP, DeviceNet, Profibus, or Modbus networks.
- Have experience with CMMS software.
- Have OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- Have Electrical license or industrial maintenance certifications.
