In this role, you will be at the forefront of maintaining and programming PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation across well pads, batteries, SWD sites, and compressor stations. Required Skills Extensive experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix), RTUs, and HMIsProficiency in PLC programming using Studio 5000 (Ladder, Function Block, Structured Text)Strong diagnostic skills in instrumentation, loop tuning, and troubleshooting automation systemsAbility to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control narrativesExperience supporting automation across well pads, batteries, and compressor stationsFamiliarity with SAP or other CMMS tools for maintenance trackingKnowledge of Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and analog/discrete I/O Nice To Have Skills Experience with FactoryTalk View HMI developmentKnowledge of Control Systems Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)Certifications in automation or instrumentation Preferred Education And Experience Associate degree in Instrumentation, Automation, or related field OR GED with equivalent experience3+ years as an Automation Specialist3+ years of oil & gas operations experience Other Requirements Ability to work independently and travel to remote field locationsCapable of operating aerial lifts and working in confined spacesAbility to work safely around energized systems, following OSHA, NEC, NFPA, and company safety protocols This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to advance your career in a challenging and rewarding environment.
