Full-time position reporting to the Players Club Supervisor.
About the role
Performing excellent guest service is our number one goal at Mistequa Casino Hotel. The Players Club Representative will promote the benefits of our Players Club, secure new sign-ups, and work with the Players Club Supervisor to meet all casino promotion event goals. The role requires a professional and positive attitude with team members and guests, and includes cross-training within the Marketing department.
Responsibilities
- Work with regulatory agencies such as the Gaming Commission, State, and Federal.
- Learn and ensure policies and procedures are followed per the departments' Internal Controls.
- Adhere to the Mistequa Casino Hotel Team Member Handbook and SMILE service standards.
- Maintain a positive and productive attitude with guests and team members.
- Proactively identify problems and solutions; follow up with the Players Club Supervisor.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the database system to perform duties using the player tracking system.
- Ensure accurate and complete data entry.
- Promote the Players Club to new guests and explain its benefits and point system.
- Keep accurate and thorough departmental records and reports.
- Maintain knowledge of all casino programs, promotions, special events, and casino games to advise guests.
- Make announcements to promote marketing events, promotions, and other announcements as scheduled.
- Assist the Players Club Supervisor and Marketing Manager with special projects.
- Maintain a clean and clear workstation.
- Stock promotional items such as bungee cords, club cards, and other items for promotional use.
- Assist in maintaining floor security by notifying Management and Security of suspicious activity.
- Attend regularly scheduled departmental meetings to facilitate information flow.
- Work shift work, holidays, weekends, and special events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work within a team.
- Intermediate computer knowledge for data entry.
- Ability to operate printers, multi-line telephone, and in-house microphone.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle periods of extreme urgency.
- Public announcements on a microphone are required.
- Must be able to move around all work areas effectively and efficiently.
Physical Demands
- While performing duties, the team member may be required to talk, hear, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and have hand-to-finger dexterity.
- Frequently required to lift 10 to 25 pounds.
- Regularly required to sit for long periods of time.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Work Environment
The work environment is moderate to loud in noise level.
Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities
- Must obtain and maintain a License B with the Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission.
- Attend required training sessions offered by the Casino.
- Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble, loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the department.
- Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
- Report illegal activity to Security or appropriate levels of Management.
Additional Conditions
- All employees must pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug tests following employment.
- All employees must pass a criminal background investigation and be able to obtain a Spokane Tribal Gaming License.
- All positions are subject to a 90-day orientation period.
Salary: $17.13 per hour plus tips.
