Player Development Specialist, Volleyball

Essential Functions

  • Meet with and assist student-athletes in their transition from high school to Duke University
  • Prepare and educate student-athletes for professional careers in volleyball
  • Actively mentor student-athletes by informing and utilizing university and departmental resources
  • Aid the coaching staff with assigned travel organization and logistics, operations, and other duties to best support the vision and mission of Duke Volleyball

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to work with a diverse population
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of intercollegiate sports operations & recruiting
  • Ability to train and motivate student-athletes
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic and diverse university setting

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Completion of a bachelor's degree program
  • Experience: Prior coaching or playing experience preferably at the Division I level required
