Play Therapist – Supporting Smiles
This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Norwich Hub with required travel across Norfolk and Waveney.
About the role
Ormiston Families’ Supporting Smiles Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service invites applications from therapists looking to further their therapeutic career. The service provides professional mental health support to children and young people through our Therapeutic Pathway for 4–13-year-olds and a CBT-informed pathway for 5–18-year-olds. We offer a needs-led approach, co-created with input from the children and families we support.
Our holistic mental health and wellbeing support service includes therapeutic practitioners, counsellors, and children’s wellbeing practitioners. Sessions are offered in various community venues, including schools and family hubs, with flexibility to address accessibility challenges.
As part of Norfolk & Waveney’s Children and Young People’s Alliance, we follow THRIVE principles—Getting Advice, Getting Help, Getting More Help, and Risk Support—collaborating with partners to provide comprehensive support for children and young people aged 0-25.
