Your Mission
- Build platform services, internal tools, and core platform capabilities: Develop and maintain platform capabilities using Python and Django, creating self-service solutions that empower development teams
- Manage cloud infrastructure: Operate and optimize our AWS infrastructure, with a focus on EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service), S3, SES, Lambda, and related services
- Automate everything: Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and operational workflows to reduce manual work and increase reliability
- Ensure reliability and performance: Implement and maintain observability systems (logging, metrics, tracing), monitor platform health, and respond to incidents
- Infrastructure as Code: Manage infrastructure using Terraform, treating infrastructure as a product with the same quality standards as application code
- Enable developer productivity: Create documentation, runbooks, and self-service capabilities that make development teams more autonomous and productive
- Maintain security and compliance: Ensure platform security best practices, manage access controls, and support compliance requirements
- Collaborate across teams: Work closely with development teams to understand their needs and continuously improve the platform
Your Profile
- Solid experience: 5-8 years in software engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps roles
- Software development skills: Strong coding abilities with experience in Python (Django/FastAPI knowledge is a plus, or willingness to learn it)
- AWS expertise: Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly EKS, S3, SES, Lambda, and related cloud services
- Kubernetes knowledge: Solid understanding of Kubernetes deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting in production environments
- Infrastructure as Code: Experience with Terraform or similar tools (CloudFormation, Pulumi, …)
- CI/CD proficiency: Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, or similar tools
- Containerization: Strong Docker knowledge and container orchestration experience
- Observability: Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar
- Agile mindset: Comfortable working in agile teams with excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus)
- Continuous learning: Open to adopting new tools, patterns, and approaches

Compensation & details
- Location: Vienna, Austria – this is a hybrid role with on-site but also flexibility for remote days
- Contract type: Full-time, permanent
- Salary: Classified under the Austrian IT Collective Agreement (ST2)
