Platform Software Engineer
Northwest Partners is seeking a Platform Software Engineer to contribute to a large-scale digital initiative for a leading technology organization. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys designing and delivering modern, scalable solutions that solve complex business challenges.

You will play a key role in building enterprise-grade applications, developing secure cloud-based integrations, and enhancing modern web platforms while helping shape technical architecture, engineering best practices, and the long-term evolution of a growing platform. Working across the full technology stack, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions that drive business value and exceptional user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and build modern applications using React and JavaScript.
- Develop secure, scalable backend services using Node.js.
- Build APIs and integrations across Microsoft 365, Azure, and enterprise platforms.
- Help shape platform architecture, deployment patterns, and engineering standards.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code across the technology stack.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and customer-facing teams to solve business challenges.
- Mentor team members through code reviews and technical leadership.
- Continuously improve platform performance, security, reliability, and developer experience.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience building modern web applications.
- Strong experience with React, JavaScript, and Node.js.
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience deploying solutions in Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL and query optimization.
- Knowledge of OAuth, OpenID Connect, and Azure AD/MSAL authentication.
- Experience with automated testing and modern Git workflows.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams development, Microsoft Graph API, CI/CD, Azure App Service, Tailwind CSS, or AI platform integrations is a plus.
