About the role

The Stellantis Software Organization (SWx) is a new initiative launched in 2021 with a vision to revolutionize the driver experience through advanced automotive technology. We are currently seeking talented individuals to lead the digital transformation and enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate embedded software for various domains including SAE Level 2, 3 automated driving features, In-vehicle Infotainment, instrument clusters, etc.
  • Design and implement software architecture using SysML and ARXML for high-performance ECUs.
  • Configure and develop middleware such as AUTOSAR, and integrate with functional safety principles.
  • Work closely with Tier I and Tier II automotive suppliers and partners.
  • Interface with continuous integration systems and ALM tools for script automation.
  • Debug and troubleshoot embedded software on target hardware.
  • Develop SWE.5 test cases based on feature requirements.
  • Interface with Algorithm developers, vehicle integration and validation engineering organizations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of overall experience, including 3 years of embedded software development experience in C/C++ and other high-level programming languages.
  • Hands-on experience with AUTOSAR configuration and integration toolchains, compilers, and SysML model development tools.
  • Familiarity with AUTOSAR concepts, architecture, specifications, and configuration tools.
  • Experience in integrating AUTOSAR BSW stack, AUTOSAR RTE with the Application Layer, and SW integration & configuration tools.
  • Experience with debugging and troubleshooting embedded software on target hardware.
  • Experience in developing safety critical embedded software functions within an IEC-61508, ISO-26262, or DO-178B development environment.
  • Experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity features within an ISO-21434 development environment.
  • Experience with authoring ASIL compliant software code and use of functional safety code analysis tools.
  • Experience with ARXML or equivalent embedded interface file generation.
  • Experience in developing and implementing some of the following: SOME/IP, DDS, or equivalent message passing protocol.
  • Experience with power management, board diagnostics, fault management, and failure modes.

Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience working within an Agile/Scrum software development process.
  • Experience in Integrating Bootloaders, Embedded OS, OSEK, RTOS, and BSP development.
  • Experience with UDS, XCP, and Instrumented Embedded Control Units.
  • Experience with Ethernet networking protocols such as 802.3, 802.1AS, TSN, and requisite transport layer formats.
  • Experience with industry cryptographic protocols, key handling, chain of trust processing, and anti-spoofing techniques.
  • Experience integrating Tier I-II BSW, feature software, and automotive build/parse software into primary domain controllers.
  • Experience working with Tri-Core architecture micro-controllers and high-end performance microprocessors.
  • Experience with platform services like power management, state management, health management (watchdogs, power health monitoring), and reset handlers.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and experience in board bring-up.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of modern safety critical electronic control units embedded software development.
  • Interest in state-of-the-art automated driving compute platforms and emerging computational technologies.
  • Good understanding of CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, SPI, Ethernet communications protocol.
  • Experience in developing safety critical embedded software functions within an IEC-61508, ISO-26262, or DO-178B development environment.
  • Experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity features within an ISO-21434 development environment.
  • Experience with authoring ASIL compliant software code and use of functional safety code analysis tools.
  • Experience with ARXML or equivalent embedded interface file generation.
