About The Role
The Platform Engineering group owns and operates the core systems that enable collaboration across Modular. On the Software Development Life Cycle team, we directly support developers.
- Improve local developer workflows
- Maintain CI, keeping systems healthy and responsive
- Package and release our products for end users
- Build tooling to solve developer pain points or support new initiatives
What You Will Do
Our team is looking for candidates passionate about helping others and ready to learn. We support a broad domain, so flexibility to meet developers where they are is key.
What You Bring To The Table
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Comfort working across languages, tools, and systems—focusing on problem-solving rather than specific technologies
- Experience supporting CI and developer tooling
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to share information with internal and external engineering and product teams
- Alignment with our core company cultural values
Helpful But Not Required
- Experience with Bazel or other build systems
- Experience with Cloud services
- Experience with GPUs, either on the infrastructure or application side

Pay & Schedule
The estimated base salary range for this role to be performed in the US is $167,000.00 - $242,000.00 USD. The estimated base salary range for this role to be performed in Canada is $164,000.00 - $237,000.00 CAD. The salary for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of permissible, non-discriminatory job-related factors, which include but are not limited to education, training, work experience, business needs, or market demands. This range may be modified in the future. The total compensation for a candidate will also include annual target bonus, equity, and benefits, with equity making up a significant portion of your total compensation.
