Platform Engineer (Hybrid) - 28020

Responsibilities

• Significantly contribute to the development of custom software components and integration of open-source code to address complex problems using cutting-edge Big Data and Cloud technology.
• Work autonomously to identify and solve problems quickly, aligning with broader strategic goals set by Architects on the team.
• Design and implement core architecture and capabilities for software from prototype to operational applications.
• Develop and deploy infrastructure in AWS, leveraging modern tools for virtual infrastructure management.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Ansible, storage layers, and programming skills in Python or Go.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security, applications, and proficiency in shell scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Requirements

• Security Clearance - A current U.S. Government Security clearance is not required at start, but will be processed for a Secret level clearance; U.S. citizenship required. Can also consider candidates with a current Secret or TS level clearance.
• 9+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or Software Development (Python or Go) with a Bachelors in related field; OR 7 years relevant experience with a Masters in related field; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
• Experience developing and deploying infrastructure in AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes (or vendor flavor of Kubernetes), Ansible, storage layers (ceph, rook, longhorn, etc.), and programming skills in languages like Python or Go.
• A solid understanding of Linux systems, hosts, networks, security, applications, and proficiency in shell scripting.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Flexibility to work in a hybrid environment, spending an average of 1-2 days per week at our Augusta, GA office.

Pay

Anticipated Salary Range: $119,574.00 - $165,000.00. The salary range for this role is intended as a good faith estimate based on the role's location, expectations, and responsibilities. When extending an offer, Enlighten takes a variety of factors into consideration which include, but are not limited to, the role's function, internal equity and a candidate's education or training, work experience, certifications and key skills.
