Job Summary
Supports the review, interpretation, and execution of submarine alteration documentation and engineering change packages. Provides expertise in fiber optic infrastructure and platform integration standards.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and interprets submarine alteration documentation and technical directives
- Supports engineering assessments for shipboard network and fiber optic systems
- Provides technical input for planning and execution of platform modifications
- Maintains familiarity with platform GFI management plans and installation requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience reviewing and interpreting submarine alteration documentation
- Seven - 10 years of experience with shipboard fiber cable plants (conventional and blown optic)
- Desired knowledge of commercial and MIL-style fiber components
- Desired familiarity with submarine platform GFI management plans
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in any engineering discipline is preferred.
