Responsibilities
- Reviews and interprets submarine alteration documentation and technical directives.
- Supports engineering assessments for shipboard network and fiber optic systems.
- Provides technical input for planning and execution of platform modifications.
- Maintains familiarity with platform GFI management plans and installation requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience reviewing and interpreting submarine alteration documentation.
- Experience with shipboard fiber cable plants (conventional and blown optic) is desired.
- Knowledge of commercial and MIL-style fiber components is desired.
- Familiarity with submarine platform GFI management plans is desired.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in any engineering discipline is preferred.
