Position Overview
We are seeking a Platform Engineering Analyst to support submarine network modernization efforts. In this role, you will review submarine alterations against existing baselines and perform detailed impact analysis on affected systems and subsystems. You will identify risks and deliver Alteration Impact Reports to support program decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Review SHIPALTs and engineering change documentation to compare proposed alterations against current system baselines.
- Conduct in-depth system impact analysis, assessing effects on integration, interoperability, architecture, common services, cost, and schedule.
- Identify potential risks and develop recommended mitigation strategies for each alteration.
- Develop detailed engineering reports, including Alteration Impact Reports.
- Cookordinate with integration teams to ensure thorough analysis and effective communication of findings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience in submarine alteration documentation.
- Active Secret clearance required with eligibility for Top Secret/SCI access and work in classified environments including SIPRNet and NATO systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with shipboard fiber cableplants (both conventional and blown optic), and commercial and MIL style fiber components.
- Experience with Individual Platform GFI Management Plans.
- Experience with submarine hotel services (power, cooling, etc.).
