Platform & DevSecOps Delivery Architect

For our client, we are seeking a Platform & DevSecOps Delivery Architect to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will shape the delivery architecture that enables engineering teams to ship software faster, safer, and with greater consistency across the organization. You will lead the design of scalable CI/CD and release automation patterns, with a strong emphasis on cloud-native deployment, security integration, and operational readiness. The position partners closely with platform engineering, software development, and security stakeholders to streamline developer experience while supporting production-grade standards. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000 annually Responsibilities Architect and maintain universal CI/CD pipelines to simplify developer workflows Build a modular release architecture for efficient code delivery Implement GitOps promotion and canary rollouts to Amazon EKS Automate machine-image pipelines and blue/green updates for production systems Provide pre-configured project scaffolding for engineering teams Embed automated security checks into the build process for compliance Ensure operational readiness standards are met before production deployment Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with CI/CD pipeline design experience Proficiency in AWS and Kubernetes, with a focus on container networking and security Experience with GitOps controllers and automated deployment strategies Software development skills in C#, .NET, Node.js, and Python for internal tooling Hands-on experience with self-hosted AI architecture and agentic workflows Knowledge of VM-based delivery concepts and infrastructure tools like HashiCorp Packer Experience integrating security scanning tools into deployment workflows Benefits 100% remote work flexibility within the U.S. Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits from day one 401(k) matching and employee stock ownership opportunities Generous vacation and personal days, plus recognized holidays Opportunity to impact public health through technology Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
