Platform Developer (Power Platform & ServiceNow)
The Platform Developer (Power Platform & ServiceNow) position is a mid-level role focused on rapid application delivery and workflow automation within the DOS ESDA Program. This role supports the U.S. Department of State's Global Acquisitions (GA) in modernizing governance, sourcing, and platform support.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), ServiceNow catalog items and forms, and customized SharePoint lists and pages to meet business requirements.
Develop and maintain Power Automate flows that streamline business processes, reduce manual work, and connect disparate enterprise systems.
Build and maintain API connections and data gateway integrations between ServiceNow, SharePoint, and external enterprise systems to ensure seamless, secure data flow.
Work closely with senior engineers to execute sprint deliverables at pace, maintaining team delivery velocity during high-demand periods.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree plus 3–5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise application development across one or more low-code/no-code platforms.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Power Automate connectors, and data gateway architecture.
Working proficiency building canvas and model-driven Power Apps, configuring ServiceNow modules, and managing SharePoint environments.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Desired
Full-stack development experience delivering web solutions using Python, modern JavaScript frameworks, and RESTful API integrations.
Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate.
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
