Platform Developer

About the role

Responsible for containerization, automation and scripting of infrastructure as code, configuration and integration of services, monitoring, and stability of the management infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Develops hardened machine images (e.g. Azure VM)
• Ensures STIG compliance
• Custom services to facilitate security inheritance
• Implements IT systems
• Builds software solutions within secure Government cloud environments
• Software development experience building software solutions
• Experience with provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code
• Experience with automation and tools such as Terraform
• Experience with Platform as a Service technologies including Kubernetes
• Experience deploying and working with Azure Landing Zones, implementing and developing Azure policies, command-line interfaces, network technologies including DNS, load balancing, and TLS

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related area of study
• 6 years of experience implementing IT systems may substitute for academic degree
• 7 years software development experience building software solutions within secure Government cloud environments
• 2+ years experience with provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and infrastructure-as-code in a DevSecOps and continuous delivery environment
• 2+ years experience with Platform as a Service technologies to include Kubernetes
• 1+ year experience deploying and working with Azure Landing Zones, implementing and developing Azure policies, command-line interfaces, network technologies including DNS, load balancing, and TLS
• Azure Active Top Secret clearance, SCI eligibility
• Compliance with DoDD 8570.01-M IA certifications; IAT Level II baseline and computing environment certifications such as Security + and a cloud service provider certification
• Ability to travel to customer site 2 times per month
