Plater Operator

About the role

dormakaba is seeking a First Shift (6:00AM‑2:30PM) Plater Operator based in Indianapolis, IN. The Plater Racker is responsible for gathering proper racks, parts, and supplies to perform racking/un‑racking responsibilities. Mandatory overtime may be required as needed. Responsibilities

• Gather proper racks, parts, and supplies to perform racking/un‑racking responsibilities
• Rack parts prior to plating according to production goals
• Un‑rack, clean, inspect, and count parts coming out of plater
• Operate conveyor & other equipment as required
• Follow work instructions/standard operating procedures (SOP)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Physical demands: regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to sit and talk or hear; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; close vision required

Skills

• Computer proficiency
• Lean skills

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

Pay

Base Salary: $18/hr. – $20/hr. (determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, and market data). $2,000 sign‑on bonus (details provided during interview).

Schedule

First Shift: 6:00AM – 2:30PM. Mandatory overtime may be required as needed.
