Responsibilities

• Operate automated plating equipment and monitor product in process
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment
• Operate mobile equipment
• Work in a team environment, including training and mentoring teammates on basic line operations
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area
• Set up and run correct recipes for each operation
• Start up and shut down the fin 1 and fin 2 lines
• Data entry of product information using Google Sheets
• Complete and record required process data using Google Sheets
• Perform quality sampling and testing on the lines
• Set up and standardize plating thickness testers
• Identify and process non-conforming product
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems on the plating lines
• Monitor chemical levels in tanks and adjust tank temperatures as needed
• Drain, clean, and maintain plating tanks and equipment
• Monitor barrels for wear and tear and arrange repairs
• Perform inspection for mixed product
• Verify product is in the correct drum when loading
• Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Ability to use a variety of plating lab equipment
• Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of chemicals used in wastewater and plating areas
• Data entry and basic computer skills
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled facility
• Ability to bend and stoop
• Flexibility to work overtime

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Stand-up forklift experience is a plus
