Plater I (Mask & plate prep specialist)

Your day to day

To perform routine tasks related to the preparation of parts for electroplating and related finishing operations under moderate supervision. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Masking part surfaces using tapes, plugs, stop lacquer, wax, and custom fixturing
• Wiring or mounting parts on racks
• Sandblasting
• Visual inspection of parts for defects or damage prior to processing
• Handling and packaging of parts post-plating
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area in accordance with safety and quality standards

You will be accountable for

• Preparation of parts for electroplating
• Masking part surfaces
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work area
• Performing other duties as needed and assigned

Qualifications

• Prior plating shop experience performing masking and other pre-plating operations preferred
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to details
• Good organization skills, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Ability to clearly communicate issues and collaborate with team members
• Ability to read and interpret part drawings

Requirements

This role requires access to export-controlled information, subject to the ITAR and EAR, for which the company will not pursue an export license/license exception. Must be a US person (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals) to be eligible for this role.

Pay

$21.00 - $30.00 / hour
