Plate Mounter- 12hr Night Shift

Night Shift Plate Mounter position available at C-P Flexible Packaging, one of the top 25 flexible packaging companies in the U.S. with over 60 years of industry experience. The role involves mounting printing plates to cylinders or sleeves in a friendly, safe, clean, and low-turnover work environment.

Schedule & shift

• 6pm–6am
• 2/2/3 rotation
• $1.25/hr shift differential

Responsibilities

• Mount printing plates to cylinders or sleeves
• Review quality of each plate being mounted for imperfections or defects
• Assure plates are mounted in registration
• Prepare first sample sheet for Supervisor review
• Assist press department with plate repairs on the press
• Tear down jobs on cylinders/sleeves and set up next job
• Follow set up procedures for given mounter/proofer
• Meet all changing conditions in your environment
• Assure that material produced is of highest quality for customer needs and specs outlined on order or with individual job classification specs
• Work in a team environment, giving more than you might think is expected from position
• Meet daily goals that are set within a very close margin of other operators and crews on same machine
• Be self-motivated to complete task in timely manner
• Complete tasks in adequate time limits, as to meet press daily goal and schedule needs
• Adhere to SOPs covering Employee Health & Safety, SQF (Safe Quality Food packager), and GMP (good manufacturing procedures) focused on eliminating contaminates in all packaging manufactured

Qualifications

• Mechanical skills
• Problem solving

• Basic computer skills
• Communicating in a clear manner
• Ability to read and understand a tape measure

Physical demands

• Able to lift up to 80 lbs (intermittently)
• Bending and twisting
• Using step stools or ladders (occasional)
• Adjusting shift hours for vacation coverage or machine demands (intermittently)
