Teknor Apex is seeking a Plastics Unit Operator to join their team in Brownsville, TN. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics processing and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain plastics machinery to ensure efficient production processes.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Handle raw materials and finished products according to company procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in plastics manufacturing or related field.
• Knowledge of plastics processing techniques and machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Good physical condition to perform manual labor tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience with plastics injection molding machines.
• Understanding of quality control and inspection processes.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Skills

• Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
