Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and prepare the bill of materials (BOM) to meet the required specifications from the customer drawing.
- Cut, weld, and bend materials to specification as required and inspect each part/component for accuracy.
- Safely operate all shop equipment, including panel, table, chop, and cut-off saws, handheld and extrusion welders, and bending and butt welding machines.
- Fit, assemble, and inspect parts to ensure their accuracy, utilizing general shop measuring equipment, such as tape measures, calipers, and verniers.
- Keep accurate and easy-to-read job notes and records of work performed and materials used to complete the job.
- Read, understand, and adhere to all safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, and clean up the saw area after each use.
- Be alert and safety-conscious, and look out for the safety and well-being of all other colleagues.
Requirements
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Above-average human relations skills.
- Accuracy and detail orientation.
- A basic understanding of geometry.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work consistently and productively under minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic working knowledge of Quality in a manufacturing setting and familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
