Responsibilities
- Collect plasma samples and move plasma units to freezer to ensure product quality.
- Ensure plasma units are properly stored according to SOPs, including unsuitable plasma units and samples.
- Verify the accuracy of unit labeling by comparing pre-printed labels with dynamic labels.
- Utilize sterile technique to draw samples and use heat sealer to maintain the sterility and quality of plasma unit samples according to SOPs.
- Pack and ship plasma units in accordance with SOPs and center procedures.
- Prepare shipping and unit disposal documentation.
- Maintain and monitor freezer and refrigerator temperatures, reporting issues to appropriate personnel.
- Record temperature variances and conduct daily calibration of equipment according to SOPs.
- Accurately record donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in the SOPs.
- Understand and comply with policies and procedures associated with hyper immune programs if applicable.
- Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, ensuring sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed.
- Follow HSE and OSHA policies and procedures, promoting safety in all actions.
- Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
- May be cross-trained in other areas to meet the needs of the business.
- May require bilingual skills, depending on organizational needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Understanding, remembering, and applying oral and/or written instructions.
- Physical ability to perform tasks while standing and walking up to 100% of time, reaching, bending, kneeling, and having high-level manual dexterity.
- Frequent exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
- Occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds.
- Work overtime and extended hours to support center operational needs.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) months experience in laboratory or warehouse environment preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay
The expected base pay for this position at hiring is $16.61/hour - $18.13/hour.
