Plant Technician (Water Plant/Warehouse)

Job Description

• Maintains water plant operations and records data in appropriate logs and computers.
• Monitors and checks all pumps, motors, valves, and instrumentation associated with demineralizer and RO systems.
• Takes water samples and performs lab analysis to adjust chemical flows as needed.
• Installs and operates third party DI trailers as needed.
• Handles shipping and receiving duties, including inventory entries in Maximo.
• Performs inventory cycle counts and reads meters to record data.
• Reports malfunctioning equipment or abnormal readings to supervisors and completes records.
• Provides mechanical, electrical, and instrument skills for maintaining equipment.
• Assists with troubleshooting and resolving issues during shifts.
• Ensures compliance with safety, health, and environmental procedures.
• Assists with electronic clearance system activities.
• Utilizes Computer Based Maintenance system and other software applications.
• Gains knowledge of the plant's operational cycle.

Education, Experience, and Skill Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years related experience.
• Demonstrate standard computer-based skills.
• Demonstrate effective oral and verbal communication skills.
• Show basic knowledge in using electrical hand tools and metering equipment.

Level of Position

Will be determined by applicable skills/experience.
