Plant Technician

Responsibilities

• Check in with clients and service plant displays, including watering, cleaning, pruning/trimming, fertilizing, and pest control.
• Note plants needing replacement and check out with clients after each visit.
• Water exterior plants according to established schedules and guidelines.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks such as pruning, deadheading, and removing debris from plant beds and pots.
• Work closely with the team to coordinate watering efforts and ensure consistency in plant care.
• Adjust watering schedules and tasks based on changing weather conditions and plant needs.

Qualifications

• A love of plants and excellent customer service skills and self-confidence are a must.
• Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 30lbs on a regular and consistent basis, move about the work site, exposed to exterior elements, require extended periods of activity including walking, standing, kneeling, bending and lifting up to 100% of a workday, and require a valid driver’s license (free of DUI).
• Have a reliable vehicle to commute between accounts and to our Bloomington, MN location.
• Have and maintain a valid Driver’s License.
• No experience necessary, we will train the right individual.

Pay

• The pay range for this position is $15 - $20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

• The route allocated to you will be repeated on a weekly or biweekly basis.
