Plant Supervisor Trainee
About the role
AGP is seeking a Supervisor Trainee to gain management experience in various operational settings at their refinery in Hastings, NE. The role offers opportunities to learn and utilize AGP's production principles and practices, OSHA and EPA regulatory compliance, quality control requirements, and process management principles.
Responsibilities
- Manage production employees through scheduling, monitoring, and assisting as needed
- Take a lead role in locomotive and rail safety training
- Maintain equipment and facility operation by reviewing logs, reports, and inspections
- Assist with production and maintenance tasks, including loading, unloading, and maintenance work
- Lead by example, ensuring all tasks are completed safely
- Track daily production quality to meet specified parameters
- Affiliate with inventory controls, including measuring and sampling
- Write and review reports, attend company meetings
Requirements
To qualify, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering (mechanical, chemical, agricultural, industrial technology, or biosystems engineering are preferred).
Candidates should also demonstrate leadership skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to organize employee work schedules.
The role requires working rotating night and day shifts, and relocation may be necessary upon successful completion of the development program.
