Plant Staff Engineer

About the role

The Staff Engineer provides day-to-day technical engineering support to operating departments within a collaborative, team-based environment that emphasizes established processes and principles. This role leads the design and execution of site-based capital projects and manufacturing improvement initiatives. The Staff Engineer serves as a subject-matter expert on cross-functional teams and works effectively with general management guidance.

In this role, you will

• Support Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations organizations within the entire facility
• Participate in and share information on technical seminars for Maintenance and Operations in order to stay up to date on current trends, changes, and technological advancements
• Hone personal skills and train teams (Engineering, Maintenance, and Operational) on new techniques, etc.
• Key advocate for Engineering innovation at the manufacturing site
• Actively participate in the continuous improvement of the site's safety performance by supporting site safety programs and initiatives
• Enable continuous improvement of the site's manufacturing performances
• Support environmental sustainability goal achievement
• Proactively identify and solve packaging, process, and plant utility system problems by using plant, company, and external resources
• Lead cost savings initiatives across the site and help to reduce plant spending
• Provides solid input and insight to the team on business and engineering needs and proposals
• Support and drive regulatory compliance
• Manage projects in accordance with Clorox Project Management Standards to achieve required results, timing, and budgetary targets

What we look for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
• 2+ years in Plant Engineering/Operations
• SAP experience
• Position will require the candidate to be in manufacturing environment with rotating equipment, elevated surfaces, temperature variations etc.

Pay

Zone A: $74,200 - $135,800 – Zone B: $68,000 - $124,500 – Zone C: $61,800 - $113,100. This job is also eligible for participation in Clorox's incentive plans, subject to the terms of the applicable plan documents and policies.
