Plant Security Guard - On Call

About the role

Position Summary As a Plant Security Officer, you will help ensure the safety and security of residents, visitors, staff, and property by monitoring campus premises, controlling access points, responding to alarms and emergencies, and maintaining a visible security presence. This role supports a safe and secure environment across the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living through proactive patrol, monitoring, and responsive service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and authorize the entrance of employees, visitors, and others to maintain campus security.
• Patrol the grounds and perimeter; observe for unusual activity or safety hazards; secure doors and windows.
• Control and enforce vehicle and pedestrian access throughout campus grounds.
• Monitor staff parking lots for compliance with parking policies.
• Respond to door alarms, elopement alerts, and fire alarms; investigate and take appropriate action.
• Assist during emergencies and contact police, fire departments, or other emergency responders as needed.
• Receive, inspect, and sign for courier packages, mail, and deliveries.
