Plant Scientist - Field Research Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead junior scientists in collecting, analyzing, and documenting agricultural data
• Design and conduct field and greenhouse research to enhance crop production and understanding
• Embody and advocate for company mission and values
• Support agricultural research projects with relevant technical skills
• Build and maintain relationships with research partners across agronomy
• Document study results and protocols while ensuring data security

Qualifications

• Master's or higher in Horticultural Science, Agronomy, Botany, Genetics, or related field with 5+ years of experience, or BS with 10+ years of experience
• Familiarity with agricultural practices in the Southwest US
• Knowledge of field trial methodology and data analysis
• Willingness to commute to West Central / Southwest Arizona or relocate
• Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor tasks in high temperatures
• Demonstrated capability to work independently and in teams to meet project deadlines
• Effective oral and written communication skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration
