About the Role
The Plant Quality Manager is responsible for managing and continuously improving all internal and external plant assurance of quality systems. They will collaborate with plant management to develop and execute a customer-focused quality plan.
Responsibilities
- Work with plant management to set and maintain quality objectives, ensuring they are met.
- Establish and maintain customer relationships, conduct visits as needed, and assist in implementing customer quality management systems.
- Collaborate with all departments on quality issues, preventative actions, and corrective measures.
- Facilitate problem-solving through Total Quality Management (TQM), team-building, and quality systems tools.
- Identify negative quality trends and repetitive defects with line and process supervisors.
- Communicate customer issues and perspectives to all plant personnel, including floor-level staff, in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience developing and maintaining a Quality Management System in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to investigate customer complaints, prepare responses, and maintain a complaint database.
- Experience working with plant management to develop standard operating procedures.
- Glass manufacturing experience preferred.
- Strong communication and data analytics skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
