Plant Quality Engineer II
About the role
The Plant Quality Engineer II is responsible for driving manufacturing quality improvements, reducing process variation, leading root cause investigations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across vehicle manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Supplier Quality, and Operations teams to identify quality risks, implement sustainable corrective actions, and improve manufacturing process capability.

What You Bring
- Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or another STEM discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Quality, Process Quality, Product Quality, Supplier Quality, Launch Quality, or Quality Engineering.
- Experience conducting root cause investigations within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of AIAG Core Tools including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA.
- Experience analyzing process capability metrics, control charts, defect trends, and manufacturing quality data.
- Proficiency utilizing 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, and DMAIC methodologies.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position, including understanding work instructions, safety procedures, and job-related communications.
- Preferred:
- Automotive manufacturing experience.
- Electric vehicle manufacturing experience.
- Experience supporting vehicle assembly operations.
- Leverage Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Minitab experience.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification.
Work Requirement
This role is based onsite at Lucid’s Advanced Manufacturing Plant (AMP-1) in Casa Grande, Arizona.
