About the role

As an HR Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the university's human resources functions. This includes managing employee relations, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee relations issues, including investigations and conflict resolution
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees
  • Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Assist with compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in HR or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing employee relations and conducting performance evaluations
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
