About the role
As an HR Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the university's human resources functions. This includes managing employee relations, conducting performance evaluations, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Manage employee relations issues, including investigations and conflict resolution
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees
- Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes
- Assist with compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in HR or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Experience in managing employee relations and conducting performance evaluations
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
