Plant Operator - Night Shift

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Plant Operator for our Waco, Texas plant. In this role, you will support a positive safety culture in an aggregate environment regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a night shift plant operator, you will work with a team to maintain the plant in good operating condition to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Assist with preventive maintenance on the plant to keep it running
• Monitor and assist in routine maintenance to ensure efficient and safe production
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures, and applicable government regulations
• Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to use hand tools
• Welding knowledge
• Ability to read schematics and manuals to understand the technical aspects of equipment
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to lift 60 lbs

Working Conditions

While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
