Plant Operator Lead

About the role

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the Hospital, Surgery Centers, and Medical Office Buildings. Key duties include prioritizing and assigning work, ensuring safety and efficiency, maintaining records, and coordinating with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize, coordinate, and assign work to personnel daily using established management and engineering practices.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and develop preventative maintenance plans.
• Implement and monitor annual qualification standards for employees.
• Aid in the education and development of shop personnel.
• Coordinate utility and contractor work, conduct tests on machinery, and assist in scheduling equipment downtime.
• Perform maintenance mechanic duties, assist other supervisors, and notify the Director of Facilities Management of major machinery shifts.
• Maintain building systems, inventory supplies, and ensure confidentiality of patient and personnel information.
• Participate in OPEX programs, department meetings, and committees.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of commercial building maintenance experience, preferably in healthcare settings.
• Experience with steam system and chiller operations.
• Preferred experience with Trane Tracer Ensemble in a healthcare setting.
• Valid unencumbered driver's license.
