About the role
This position serves as the entry-level role within a structured classification series, providing foundational experience and skill development. It precedes two progressively advanced levels, each offering increased responsibilities, complexity, and leadership opportunities within the series.Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain plant equipment and machinery to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Monitor plant processes and systems to identify and address operational issues promptly.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep plant equipment in good working order.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
- Document all activities and incidents related to plant operations for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- One year of relevant experience in a similar operational role preferred.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have a valid Georgia driver’s license.
- Must pass a background check.
