Plant Operator B
The Plant Operator B role at Alkegen involves performing various tasks related to the manufacturing of specialty fiber materials. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing material handling in designated workstations
- Following written work instructions and meeting productivity standards
- Accurately reporting material usage and daily productivity metrics
- Maintaining safety assessments and adhering to safety procedures
- Ensuring clean and safe equipment and an orderly work environment
- Evaluating materials against basic quality standards and reporting issues
- Assisting in training new Plant Operator B team members
- Providing relief coverage for other production areas
- Assisting Plant Operator A’s in higher proficiency work tasks
- Promoting and upholding the highest level of safety standards
- Complying with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
To qualify, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, reliable transportation, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs., operate walk behind powered material handling equipment, and demonstrate physical abilities such as bending, stooping, walking, twisting, lifting, standing, pushing, and pulling. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
