About the Role
Operate equipment with a high degree of competence, skill, and proficiency. Perform start-up and shutdown procedures, monitor feed and materials flow, and adjust equipment settings to maximize production and ensure quality product output.
Responsibilities
- Operate processing plant and auxiliary units.
- Observe control panel gauges, dials, and machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications.
- Maintain switch house equipment.
- Assist with plant inspections, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment as required.
- Lubricate and perform minor repair work to the crusher system.
- Perform housekeeping duties around the crusher area, including shoveling spilled aggregate material.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate (desired).
- Experience in the construction, mining, or concrete industry (preferred).
- Preferred experience in operating plant crushers.
- Mechanical repair skills (preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of process control systems.
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and diagnose plant operation problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading and writing related to computer systems.
- Ability to perform repetitive work continuously.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Able to grip, climb vertical access ladders, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, pull, push, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work in outdoor weather conditions, including heat and cold.
- May be required to wear a respirator.
- Must be able to work required overtime, including extended hours beyond scheduled shifts.

Pay
$42.46 per hour, as prescribed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
