About the Role

Operate equipment with a high degree of competence, skill, and proficiency. Perform start-up and shutdown procedures, monitor feed and materials flow, and adjust equipment settings to maximize production and ensure quality product output.

Responsibilities

  • Operate processing plant and auxiliary units.
  • Observe control panel gauges, dials, and machinery to ensure conformance to processing specifications.
  • Maintain switch house equipment.
  • Assist with plant inspections, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment as required.
  • Lubricate and perform minor repair work to the crusher system.
  • Perform housekeeping duties around the crusher area, including shoveling spilled aggregate material.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or possession of a GED Certificate (desired).
  • Experience in the construction, mining, or concrete industry (preferred).
  • Preferred experience in operating plant crushers.
  • Mechanical repair skills (preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of process control systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and diagnose plant operation problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading and writing related to computer systems.
  • Ability to perform repetitive work continuously.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
  • Able to grip, climb vertical access ladders, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, pull, push, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work in outdoor weather conditions, including heat and cold.
  • May be required to wear a respirator.
  • Must be able to work required overtime, including extended hours beyond scheduled shifts.

Pay

$42.46 per hour, as prescribed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
