About the Role
Roper Thermals in Clinton, CT is looking for a skilled and dependable Plant Operator to join our team. Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate plant equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant systems and components
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or process-related issues and escalate as needed
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports of plant operations and equipment status
- Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Cook up with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
- Support startup, shutdown, and changeover procedures as required
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Plant Operator or in a similar industrial/manufacturing role preferred
- Working knowledge of plant systems, mechanical equipment, and process controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operating procedures
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with OSHA and environmental standards
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work various shifts, including nights or weekends, as needed
