Plant Operator

Job Summary

Start and stop power plant equipment according to an established policy. Determine problems with equipment malfunctions. Make minor repairs. Handle emergency failures of essential utilities such as emergency power, water, gas, and other. Run building status and print and file information. Make engineering rounds every two hours and log findings in logbook. Pass on any necessary information to relief supervisor. Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment. Respond to emergency maintenance calls. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous Boiler Room/Maintenance experience preferred
