Plant Operator

About the role

The Plant Operator/Custodian position at FITZGERALD MIDDLE is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the school facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order in the school building
• Operate and maintain HVAC systems
• Perform routine maintenance on school equipment
• Ensure safety and security of the school premises
• Assist with other non-instructional support tasks as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in custodial or related field preferred
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of safety procedures and emergency response protocols

• Basic computer literacy
• Problem-solving abilities

Pay

$15.00 per hour
