About the role
The Plant Operator/Custodian position at CARWISE MIDDLE is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of the school facility. Duties include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces; ensuring proper functioning of HVAC systems; and performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities

- Maintaining HVAC systems to ensure optimal temperature and air quality
- Performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
- Ensuring safety and compliance with all school policies and procedures
Requirements
- High School/GED diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work evenings and weekends
- Previous custodial or related experience preferred
- Valid Florida driver’s license
Qualifications

Pay
The starting salary for this position is $15.00 per hour, based on the pay grade D, schedule 05. The salary may vary based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The Plant Operator/Custodian works from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a 12-month calendar year contract.
