Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment and execute processes in accordance with authorized operating procedures and work instructions.
- Set up, adjust, and monitor equipment to support safe and efficient production operations.
- Handle and move products and materials using forklift equipment.
- Follow established procedures and work instructions related to each process area; provide input for improvements as appropriate.
- Accurately record production data using Microsoft Excel and other internal systems.
- Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures; ensure equipment is operated safely and promote safe work practices in all activities.
- Ensure product quality by performing sampling and testing process streams, interpreting results, and taking appropriate corrective action when required.
- Identify and troubleshoot causes of non-conforming products; coordinate with appropriate personnel to resolve issues.
- Support process reliability and performance by identifying issues and participating in improvement efforts with cross-functional teams.
- Perform basic equipment care, including inspections and minor maintenance; document activities and coordinate with maintenance specialists as needed.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with plant personnel, including production, engineering, and maintenance; escalate equipment issues and communicate needs related to maintenance and spare parts.
- Participate in training and development activities to build technical and operational capability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Work rotating 12-hour shifts and ability to do call out work.
- Lift and carry loads of up to 50 lbs.
- Climb various ladders and stairs to operate valves, gauge tanks, or perform maintenance on equipment.
- Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on even and uneven terrain.
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree or technical certification from an accredited school preferred.
- One or more years of experience working in an operating plant environment.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Experience operating valves, gauging tanks, and/or performing maintenance on equipment.
- Valid driver’s license.
