Plant Operator

**Job purpose** Operate and support crushing plant operations to ensure safe, efficient production of high-quality materials. This role is responsible for monitoring plant performance, completing inspections, and supporting overall plant operations in a team environment. **Duties and responsibilities** Operate crushing plant equipment to support safe and efficient production. Assist with operation of primary and secondary crushing systems as needed. Perform pre- and post-shift inspections of plant equipment. Monitor plant operations to maintain production levels and quality standards. Track production data and complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Follow all safety procedures and comply with applicable regulations, including MSHA requirements. Communicate effectively with team members to support plant operations. Maintain plant equipment and work areas in a clean and organized condition. Perform general labor tasks as needed to support plant operations. Work extended and non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, as required. Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment. Perform additional duties as assigned. **Knowledge of** Crushing plant operations and equipment. MSHA regulations and safe work practices. Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Computer systems used for plant operations and production tracking. **Ability to** Operate plant equipment safely and efficiently. Follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team. Monitor and adjust operations to maintain production quality and efficiency. Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers. Adapt to changing work conditions and operational needs. **Qualifications** Ability to work safely in a production environment. Strong work ethic and reliability. Ability to follow directions and perform assigned tasks. **Education** High school diploma or equivalent preferred. **Experience** Minimum of 1 year of aggregate or related experience preferred. **Physical requirements** Constant (67-100%) required to climb stairs and ladders. Constant (67-100%) required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE). Frequently (34-66%) required to lift up to 50 pounds. Frequently (34-66%) required to work in field environments with exposure to dust, noise, and extreme weather conditions. Frequently (34-66%) required to shovel and perform manual labor tasks. Frequently (34-66%) required to sit for extended periods of time.
