Plant Operator

We are seeking a Plant Operator to contribute to CHRYSO Inc.’s image, reputation, and customer satisfaction by manufacturing high-quality non-hazardous liquid admixtures for concrete and facilitating their prompt delivery. Your role will ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and position Chryso as the concrete admixture supplier of choice.

Responsibilities

• Raw material receiving (check/confirm bill of lading vs. purchase order, unload materials, sample for QA testing, log receipt in system).
• Assist with raw material inventory readings and control.
• Generate paperwork for customer deliveries (load description sheets, delivery tickets, inventory depletion logs).
• Batch (manufacture) finished products from Bills of Materials (batch tickets).
• Load finished product for delivery (pump and meter bulk liquid into totes or semi tanker trucks).
• Pump finished product from mix tanks to plant storage or load-out trailers.
• Answer incoming plant calls and take/forward messages as needed.
• Process customer delivery paperwork upon return of delivery trucks (recover signed receipts and distribute internally).
• Perform plant and equipment maintenance (wash delivery trucks, clean plant, repair pumps/meters).
• Fulfill any reasonable business need in an entrepreneurial environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or accredited GED.
• Current driver’s license and good driving record.
• 1+ year of sit-down forklift (2-prong) operating experience.
• Organized, conscientious, and able to prioritize tasks for efficiency.
• Strong aptitude for basic math and attention to detail in sequential work.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Internet).
• Command of the English language.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions (hot/cold/rain).
• Dependable for occasional early morning or late evening shifts.
• Able to lift 55 lbs unassisted, climb ladders, and stand on concrete floors for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification.
• Post-high school education.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Sage.
• Basic liquid and pneumatic plumbing knowledge.
• Able to lift 80 lbs unassisted.
• Direct experience in industrial batching/mixing of raw materials into finished product with close attention to quantities and procedures.
