Plant Operations Supervisor

Qualifications

• An Operating Engineer’s license is preferred
• A high school graduate or GED equivalent, 18+ years old, and a valid Louisiana driver's license
• An EPA Section 608 Refrigeration Universal Certificate or Electrical Certification preferred

Principle Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities

• Supervise the activities of the Plant Operations Department and approved Contractors using the appropriate management tools and in compliance with organization policies and procedures
• To assist Plant Operations Director and supervise department staff in any project that may be required
• Provides supervision, assists and ensures that Plant Operations staff and approved Contractors perform and complete assigned Scheduled Maintenance Work Orders (PM’s), Routine and Emergency Work Orders in allotted and timely manner
• Supervise and assist in the performance of a variety of skilled work in the operation, maintenance and repair of boiler, heating, air conditioning, ventilating, lighting, power, water, water treatment, and other mechanical systems normally found in a Hospital; instruct or lead other Technicians; instruct or lead contract workers; and do other related work
• Provides Security related duties M-F during daylight hours
• Assist in the “On Call” rotation and respond to emergency repairs

Work Hours

Full Time, M-F to include various on call hours.
