About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Loader to join our Plant Operations team. The Loader will operate and maintain equipment associated with the blending, mixing, and loading of dry bulk fertilizer, liquid fertilizer, bulk and packaged chemical, bulk and bagged seed.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment, including dry fertilizer bulk handling equipment such as bobcats, forklifts, and payloaders.
- Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment to troubleshoot, perform light maintenance, and complete repair work.
- Follow label instructions and proper mixing orders when loading crop protection products, blending fertilizer, or treating/inoculating seed.
- Interact regularly with customers, peers, and management to provide exceptional customer service, pursue continuous improvement of facility operations, and promote a teamwork-focused environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, requirements, policies, and procedures, including OSHA regulations, vehicle policy, fleet safety program, and DOT regulations.
Requirements
- Diploma/GED or 0-1 year of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to obtain a CDL.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- English proficiency.
- Ability to perform physical job duties, including bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator.
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above) and confined spaces.
- Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.
