About the role
This role develops, validates, and maintains high-quality 0D/1D plant models supporting XIL, virtual validation, and system integration across multiple vehicle domains at a major OEM.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain 0D/1D plant models representing physical systems (propulsion, chassis, ADAS, infotainment)
- Ensure models meet appropriate fidelity levels across concept, design, integration, and validation phases
- Perform model validation and correlation against requirements and test data
- Support model reduction and optimization for simulation efficiency
- Integrate plant models into XIL workflows and environments
- Support virtual testing, requirement validation, and system verification activities
- Collaborate with controls and system engineers to align plant models with control strategies
- Contribute to continuous integration pipelines for model development and validation
- Participate in model reviews, quality checks, and validation processes
- Maintain model documentation, version control, and configuration management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in plant modeling, simulation, or V&V environments
- Strong understanding of Model-Based Development (MBD) and virtual testing methods
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling tools
- Knowledge of physical system modeling (0D/1D)
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools and methods, plus at least one scripting language
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive OEM experience and familiarity with xIL environments (MIL/SIL/HIL)
- Understanding of automotive V&V processes, model validation and correlation, and variant/configuration management
- Domain experience in propulsion, ADAS, chassis, or infotainment
