About the role
The Plant Manager oversees daily operations of the beverage manufacturing facility, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production while meeting quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements. This role leads production, maintenance, quality, safety, sanitation, and warehouse teams to achieve plant performance goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead plant operations across production, maintenance, quality, sanitation, and logistics.
- Ensure production schedules, throughput, yield, and efficiency targets are met.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and OEE.
- Manage capital projects, equipment upgrades, and line installations.
- Maintain compliance with FDA, OSHA, EPA, HACCP, SQF/BRC, GMP, and other applicable standards.
- Lead audits, corrective actions, safety programs, and employee training.
- Manage and develop department managers, supervisors, and plant teams.
- Own plant budgets, labor costs, operating expenses, and key performance indicators.
- Identify opportunities to reduce downtime, scrap, and operating costs.
- Partner with Supply Chain, R&D, Sales, and Corporate teams on inventory planning, product launches, and plant initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Food Science, or related field.
- Manufacturing leadership experience required; beverage, food, or CPG experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Fully on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work around moving machinery and loud noise while wearing required PPE.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, climb, kneel, and crouch as needed.
- Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Pay
$150,000 - $180,000 DOE
